Get True Blood on DVD.
In the second season premier, we find the discovery of the body in Andy’s car was not of LaFayette but Miss Jeanette’s. Her heart had been ripped out of her chest.
Unfortunately, Bill is still saddled with the 17 year old Jessica, whom he had to make a Vampire last season for his punishment. He knows that trying to make her behave in front of Sookie will be no easy task.
Meanwhile, Tara is down at the police station answering questions about how she knows the “deceased” Miss Jeanette. Andy is doing his best to try and pressure her into some sort of confession. Lettie Mae shows up and is devastated to find out that her friend and “healer” Miss Jeanette is truly dead. Tara tries her hardest to convince her mother that Miss Jeanette was a fraud but Lettie Mae will not believe a word of it.
Down in a dark dungeon of sorts, we discover LaFayette is in deed alive but not doing so well. He is chained with a few others to a wheel that they all move periodically. Feeling that he is there for his sins and this is his punishment, Lafayette does not question his situation.
Bill tries to console Sookie after hearing of the gruesome murder of Miss Jeanette. Unfortunately, Jessica chooses this time to show up naked in a towel, making Sookie extremely uneasy.
Maryann arrives at the police station to accompany Tara home but stays just long enough to have a few choice words with Lettie Mae. Letting her just how she felt about her treatment of her own daughter. Lettie Mae is left feeling completely shocked.
Sookie is unsure about Bill’s relationship with Jessica and has a few questions for him. She feels betrayed because Bill did not tell her about this situation sooner. Making her trust waver.
Jason attends a luncheon that is for the Rev. Steve Newland of the “Fellowship of the Sun” church. Orry tries to convince Jason that he should enroll in their leadership classes. Of course, there is a matter of the $1,200 fee that Jason will have to come up with. Rev. Newland and his wife tell Jason that if he needs to be there, God will make sure he finds a way to pay the fee.
Sam heads over to Maryann’s house to repay her the money he stole from her in the past. Seeing a familiar statue, Sam flashes back to when her first met Maryann. He snuck into her house as a puppy than quickly changed into human form and began to steal what he could. Maryann shows up and decides he will make a better lover than a thief.
While Sookie is packing away her grandmother’s possessions, she gets a visit from a lawyer. He has news that her Uncle Bartlett has passed away. Leaving her $11,000 in his will.
Sookie surprises Jason at work and tells him that he can have the check. Having memories of her uncle trying g to touch her, she wants no part of the money. Of course, Jason thinks this is the sign he was waiting for and knows now that he will be enrolling in the leadership academy for the “Fellowship of the Sun” church.
In Sam’s flashback, he sees Maryann and himself making love and remembers her changing slightly in the process. He immediately stops and she informs him that “he’s not the only one who’s special”. While Maryann takes a shower, Sam sees this as his only chance to leave. Of course, not before taking her money and jewels.
Bill tries to help Jessica adjust to drinking “True Blood” beer and not the blood of humans. Sookie stops by to try and start fresh with Jessica and be her friend. Jessica seems quite pleased and heads on up stairs so Sookie and Bill can have their privacy.
Confronting Bill, Sookie asks if he had anything to do with her Uncle Bartlett’s death and of course he does. Making her have serious doubts about their relationship. Bill tries desperately to convince Sookie that he loves her and he would do anything to protect her and make her happy, Sookie kisses him in return. Consummating the relationship, Bill and Sookie renew their love for one another.
Over at “Fangtasia”, Eric heads to the lower dungeon to confront one of his prisoners. The man who helped set fire to a Vampire’s house. Killing 3 Vampire’s in the process. LaFayette watches huddled in a dark corner as Eric brutally gives the man his punishment.
