At the hotel Carmilla, Eric is interrupted by Lorena while feeding off a well paid woman. Eric wants to convince Lorena to help him take Sookie away from Bill. Which would allow Lorena to have Bill all to herself. Lorena who is Bill’s “maker” still loves and desires Bill. Lorena flashes back to when Bill and her were together in the 20’s. They seduced a couple at a party and convince then to join Bill and Lorena for a private party of their own.

Meanwhile back in their hotel room, Bill and Sookie get an unexpected visit from Isabel and her lover Hugo. They all discuss how to get into the “Fellowship of the Sun” church. Isabel comes up with the idea that Hugo goes with Sookie posing as her fiancé.

On top of a pool table at Merlotte’s, Daphne asks Sam why he feels ashamed of being a shape shifter. Sam says he’s not and asks Daphne how she got the deep scars on her back. She explains to him that she has no idea what attacked her and that she is lucky to be alive.

Morning time at Sookie’s finds Tara calling around trying to find a part to fix Sookie’s water heater. Maryann is quite upset that her coffee is cold and that she can not take a hot shower. Tara soon finds the part they need but it’s 2 hours away in Ferriday. Convincing Maryann to let Eggs with her, Tara sets out in Maryann’s Jaguar to get the part in Ferriday.

Thinking that he is in trouble, Jason heads out with Luke to see Steve and Sarah. Jason soon discovers that he is not in trouble but has been given a special task to build a platform for a ceremony. Steve explains that the platform is for a ceremony called “meet the sun”. It’s where they tie up a Vampire and watch him burn in the sun’s deadly light.

Driving along down the country road, Eggs begins to recognize the area. Not understanding how he knows it, he asks Tara to pull over. Eggs is confused and doesn’t understand how he knows that spot and begins to walk in the woods with Tara.

Andy strolls into Merlotte’s and heads straight for LaFayette in the kitchen. He is determined to pin the murder of Miss Jeannette. Still trying to recover from his time locked up in the Vampire’s basement, LaFayette cringes in the corner. Andy’s cousin Terry steps in and defends LaFayette and soon Andy backs down and leaves. Terry comforts LaFayette and tries to soothe away his fears by holding him.

In the dining room, Hoyt confronts his mother about turning off his cell phone. She explains to him that she him to have nothing to do with Jessica. Letting him know just what she thinks of a girl that only calls late at night. Shocking her into silence, Hoyt explains that the only reason she calls at night is because she’s a Vampire.

Sarah greets Hugo and Sookie at their car personally. Steve and Sarah discuss with them about the church and how it would be a perfect place for them to attend and get married in. Sookie begins to read Steve’s mind and discovers that he has a Vampire locked in the basement and that they plan to burn him alive.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Lorena flashes back again about Bill and her night with the society couple. Bill bites the woman as her husband watches than Lorena snaps his neck ending his life. Bill greedily drinks from the woman which turns on Lorena. He takes the necklace off the victims neck that Lorena liked so much and puts it on her neck. Telling him that she loves him, they proceed to make love in the victims blood.

Eggs and Tara had been walking through the woods for almost an hour before they finally stop. They come upon a semi circle of rocks. There is some discarded clothing and there also seems to be dried blood on the rocks. Eggs is visibly upset because he can not figure out how he could know about this place.

Steve and Sarah show Hugo and Sookie around the building. Taking great pride in how the church itself actually glows in the afternoon sunlight. Sookie starts to read that they know who she is and wants to leave as soon as possible. Steve insists that they stay for the “lock-in”. Steve wants to show them his father’s tomb below but Sookie wants to leave and finds herself being escorted in by Gabe. Sookie and Hugo try to escape but are dragged down into the basement. Sarah is scared and really didn’t want this to happen. Steve reacts to her harshly and calls her a crude name.

Hearing Sookie’s scream, Bill awakens suddenly but is helpless to move. Lorena is there and is holding him down. She has the power as his maker to not let him go. Try as he might, Bill is not able to save Sookie.

Andy is driving along the road that night but slams on his breaks suddenly. He sees that he almost hits a pig and a dog running across. Recognizing the “pig”, Andy cocks his gun and heads out after them. Running fast, Andy stumbles on a branch and falls. Again missing his chance to catch this elusive pig.

In the walk-in at Merlotte’s, LaFayette gets an unexpected visit from Pam. She says that Eric wants him to start selling “V” again. Explaining to him that he owes it to Eric, LaFayette reluctantly agrees to sell it again.

Eggs and Tara finally arrive home only to find it completely trashed. It appears Maryann had another one of her “parties” while they were gone. Following a trail of clothing, Tara and Eggs try to find all the party goers. When they do arrive, they discover everyone in a trance like state participating in an orgy. Maryann is in the center vibrate-dancing to tribal drums. Eggs and Tara stare on in horror.

Back in Dallas, Jessica wakes up and is upset to find no messages from Hoyt. Soon her disappointment turns to joy when she answers the door and sees Hoyt standing there with flowers. He explains about his phone and Jessica kisses him and proceeds to drag him into the room.

Walking into the church, Jason sees Sarah and sees she is visibly upset. Sarah expresses to him that after what she just saw Steve do, she is no longer married to him and she wants Jason. She enlightens him to the fact that Steve is preparing his “soldiers of God” to be actual soldiers and he wants to fight a real war against the Vampires. Convincing Jason that he’s the one for her, Sarah and Jason start to kiss and undress each other.

Daphne takes Sam into the woods for a surprise. Sam becomes reluctant when he hears the drums. Letting her know that nothing ever good comes from the sound of drums. This doesn’t stop her and soon finds himself gripped by 2 people. They bring him to the “ceremony”. Sam is horrified to see the people of Bon Temps in a trance like state participating in an orgy. Tara and Eggs are even there and both their eyes have also turned black and are in a trance. Daphne joins the ceremony and steps behind Maryann to pick up a bull’s head and place it on Maryann’s head. Standing near is Karl holding a dagger. Sam begins to scream.
