Trouble
Talbot and Franklin seem to have a long history of not liking the other. Fangs bared, they begin to practically circle each other. Russell arrives with Bill and Lorena just in time to put an end to it. Tara looks up from where she is tied to a chair and is surprised to see Bill. She is shocked to see also that he shows no sign of helping her. Walking away, he acts like he doesn’t even know her.
Franklin leaves with Russell to discuss what he has found out about Bill. Once inside his office, Russell finds out that Bill has been lying to him about Sookie. Russell tells Franklin to go back to Bon Temps and get Sookie but is quite pleased to find out from Franklin that Sookie is right there in Jackson.
Before Alcide has a chance to change into a Werewolf at Lou Pines, he and Sookie manage to escape. Alcide is scaring Sookie with his erratic driving so she decides to get his attention by talking bad about Debbie. That seems to do the trick and Alcide finally pulls over. He explains to Sookie that Debbie wasn’t always bad and that in the beginning of their relationship, she was a great person.

Eric arrives at Russell’s mansion to try and find Bill. Talbot instantly takes a liking to Eric. Eric asks Russell if he could have his permission to hunt in his territory. He explains that Bill is wanted for selling V. Russell laughs and soon Bill walks through the door. Seeing that he must approach this another way, Eric comes clean and tells him the whole story about the Magister holding Pam hostage. Russell shows his disgust with the Magister and agrees to help Eric.
Sookie wakes up at Alcide’s to Debbie screaming at him in the other room. Stepping out of the bedroom, Debbie directs all of her anger to Sookie and warns her about sleeping with her wolf. Not backing away from a fight, Sookie tells her that she was a fool let Alcide go and take up with Coot. Alcide has to hold Debbie back from trying to attack Sookie again. Sookie asks Debbie directly where Bill Compton is and after reading her thoughts, discovers that she has no idea who Bill even is.
Franklin has tied Tara up to the bed and has her wearing a white gown that he bought for her. Locating her cell phone, he comes enraged when he sees that she has a text from Lafayette. Thinking that she’s cheating on him, he rushes for the bed and begins to strangle her. Tara manages to settle him down when she tells him that it was from her cousin Lafayette and that he’s gay. This manages to settle him down.
Shocking Kenya and Kevin, Jason walks into the Sherriff’s office ready to start being a cop. Andy shows up and tells Jason that he will be answering the phones. This of course is not what Jason had in mind. He figured he’d be out driving around in a police car and catching bad guys.
Sam watches on as the Micken’s move into a rental he owns. He quickly notices the tension between Tommy and Joe Lee. He tries to confront them about it and soon Melinda steps in and tells Sam that they were just kidding around. Sam walks away and is not sure he believes her. Sam runs into Terry and congratulates him. Terry is taking the next big step and moving in with Arlene. Terry tells Sam that he is happy to finally feel like he’s in a normal relationship.
Back at Russell’s , while Franklin sleeps, Tara works hard to untie the ropes on her wrists. Succeeding, she races for the door. Finally free, Tara begins to run away. Hearing a bark, she turns around and sees a large dog chasing her. Trying to run faster but realizing too late that she can’t out run him, he tackles her down. Changing back into a man, Tara sees that it’s Coot and he begins to howl.
Alcide tells Sookie that he must step out but soon using her special ability, Sookie finds out that he is going to see his pack master. Convincing him to take her along, Alcide grudgingly heads out.
Down at the Sherriff’s department, Jason finds out quickly that he’s not meant to be behind a desk. Trying to keep himself from boredom, Jason has a good time making paper clip chains and messing around with the fingerprint ink. Thankfully, Andy steps in to tell him he has a job for him. Once outside, Jason is not too happy to find out that the job is washing the police cars.
At Merlotte’s, Lafayette gets a surprise when his mother’s care giver Jesus shows up. Thinking the worst, Jesus quickly tells Lafayette that his reason for stopping by was only to see him. Lafayette informs Jesus that he doesn’t get off work for 9 hours. Jesus tells him that he doesn’t mind waiting and heads in after him.
Alcide and Sookie meet up with his pack master Col. John Flood. Col. Flood tells Alcide to tell nobody what he saw and to let it alone. He tells him that Russell has been around forever and that he is the King of Mississippi. Reading his thoughts, Sookie finds out that he is scared and plans on leaving town to avoid dealing with Russell.
Jason is not too happy about washing the police cars until he sees his mysterious lady friend driving by in a pick-up truck. Not thinking twice about it, he jumps into a police car and takes off after her. Finally getting her to pull over, he tries to tell her that he’s a real officer. Of course she finds it hard to believe him considering he’s shirtless and not wearing a badge. Before she takes off, he yells for her to meet him at Merlotte’s that night.
It’s a busy night at Merlotte’s and Jessica tries to start up a conversation with Arlene about it. Seeing once again that Arlene never looks her in the eyes, Jessica confronts her about it. Arlene tells her that she doesn’t want to be hypnotized by a walking dead person. This of course ticks Jessica off. Before seating a new couple that just arrived, she decides to glamour them and tell them not to tip their waitress.
Moments later, Jessica is distressed to see Hoyt walk in with a date. Noticing that Jessica is upset, Tommy asks her about it. Telling him that Hoyt was her ex, Tommy tells her that Hoyt is nothing to worry about and that he thinks she’s a smoking hot Vampire. Of course, this finally gets a smile out of Jessica.
Franklin goes a bit nuts when he confronts Tara about trying to escape. Seeing that he has become obsessed with her, Tara decides to change the way she was acting and try to get him to trust her.
Russell confronts Bill with the papers Franklin found in his house. Russell is not happy with Bill for holding back that he knew Sookie was telepathic. Russell has Bill escorted by a body guard to his room. Bill now knows that he must find Sookie and warn her.
At Merlotte’s, Jason waits patiently for Crystal to show up. Seeing Jason sitting alone, Andy joins him and tells him that he’s pulled some strings and Jason is only 2 steps away from being a Deputy. He only needs to pass a physical and a written exam. The last part makes Jason worried. Andy tries to reassure him that he will do just fine.
After his shift, Lafayette joins Jesus for a game of pool. Jesus tells him that he enjoyed watching Lafayette while he worked. Lafayette admits that he too enjoyed watching Jesus. After admitting their mutual attraction, they begin to play pool.
Tommy asks Sam if he could spend the night at his place. Noticing that Tommy seemed nervous about going home, Sam tries to ask him what’s wrong. Tommy doesn’t tell him anything and Sam allows Tommy to stay the night anyways.
Alone in his room, Bill gets a unwanted visit from Coot. Coot tells Bill that he knows he is no longer on good terms with Russell. Provoking him further, Coot tells him that his girl Sookie has hooked up with a Werewolf. Not wanting to hear anymore, Bill attacks Coot and the guard outside his door and is able to escape.
Heading out of Merlotte’s, Jason is happy to see Crystal outside. She tells him that she couldn’t get up the nerve to enter. They decide to take a walk in the woods. Alone by the lake, they both acknowledge their attraction. Crystal tells him that there is no future for them and that they only have now. Not wanting to hear anymore, Jason begins to kiss her passionately.
Eric once again tries to get Russell to help him with the Magister but Russell tells him that he must go out and Talbot will take him on a tour of the mansion. Talbot seems quite pleased to be given the task of showing Eric around.
At Sam’s, he and Tommy hear a noise outside. Soon, they hear a pounding at the door. Tommy tries to tell Sam not to open the door but Sam opens it up anyways. A drunk Joe Lee rushes in and demands that Tommy come home. Sam confronts him and Joe Lee screams that he owns Tommy. Finally, Joe Lee realizes his mistake and tells Sam that it is the liquor talking and leaves. Turning around, Sam demands that Tommy tell him what’s going on.
Franklin finds Tara sitting at the dinner table crying and staring at a plate with Day Lilies on it. Asking her what’s wrong, Tara explains to him that’s hungry and she can’t eat flowers. Feeling guilty for no realizing that she has needs as a human, he tells her that he will take her out to dinner. Tara seems happy until he informs her that they can celebrate her last night of being human. He intends to turn her and become his Vampire bride. Tara turns away terrified.
Eric tries to act like he’s truly enjoying Talbot’s company and even flirts a little bit. Talbot is showing Eric all of Russell’s priceless collection of artifacts. Eric’s eye soon is directed on a gold crown. Talbot informs him that it is a Viking King’s crown. Flashing back, Eric remembers the night that his whole family was attacked and killed by wolves and a man in dark robes took the gold crown from his father’s head.
Sookie is awoken by Alcide calling for her. Walking into the front room, Sookie looks past Alcide and sees Bill standing there. Sookie races over to Bill and they embrace. Bill quickly pulls her away and tells Alcide to take her way. Bill tells them that they have no time and they must leave. Before they even have a chance to escape, Coot and Russell arrive. Coot attacks Alcide and then goes after Sookie. Finally catching up to her, Sookie places her hand on his face and tells him to go. As soon as her hand touches his face, bright lights are once again shining from her and Coot is tossed aside. This of course excites Russell and he begins to laugh, saying fantastic!
