Sookie shoots the gun to try and hit the werewolf but Eric quickly jumps up to block the bullet. Seeing the Vampire blood, the werewolf soon becomes a man an d races over to feed off of Eric. Eric refuses him unless he tells him who sent him. The man tells him that he will be dead if he reveals the information but Sookie soon reads his thoughts and hears the word Jackson. Eric, knowing that he isn’t going to get anything more out of the man, soon bares his fangs and kills the werewolf. Looking up at Sookie from the puddle of blood, Eric tells her that it appears he’s gotten her rug wet.
Back at Russell’s mansion, Lorena is covered with a tapestry to avoid further burning from the lantern Bill threw at her. Talbot of course is furious that Russell used a tapestry they got from the Thirteenth century. Alone in the dining room once again, Russell tries to lure Bill over to work for him. He also subtly tells Bill that if he doesn’t come to his side, Sookie could become a casualty.

After Eric buries the body in a fresh grave, He walks Sookie back to her house. They discuss what Jackson could mean. Eric informs Sookie that it means Jackson, MS. Sookie tells Eric that she will leave immediately but he soon talks her into leaving the next day.
Back at the local motel, Tara and Franklin are having a hard core time in bed. Between Franklin’s guttural growls and Tara’s eyes rolling in the back of her head, the two are becoming quite acquainted with each other. Lost in the moment and seeing his fangs, Tara turns her neck towards him and tells him to bite her. Franklin tells her no and only because she wanted him too. Flipping her over, the two begin again.
Sam shows back up at the Micken’s house to thank Tommy for trying to kill him and to tell his parents he’s leaving town. They try to convince him to stay but he tells them that he needs to get home and take care of his bar.
Still excited about catching a drug dealer, Jason has decided to try and be a deputy. With Hoyt’s help, Jason attempts to answer questions online on a practice test. It doesn’t bother him none that he got zero right out of 22 questions. He feels it’s his destiny to be a cop.
Pam is frustrated when she gets interrupted during her play time with Yvette by a phone call from Jessica. Jessica tells her that she doesn’t know what to do because the body has disappeared. Pam tells her that if there is no body than there is no problem. Hanging up, she finishes where she left off with Yvette.
Arlene visits her doctor to see how far along she is. She gets a bit of shocking mews when she is informed that she is farther along than she thought. Now she knows the baby’s not Terri’s and that it is Renee’s.
Down at Merlotte’s, Tara gets a call from Mike Spencer letting her know that they were burying Egg’s right now. Asking them not to start without her, Tara races on down to the cemetery. Once there, Tara is sad to see that no one else had come. Seeing the nice casket, she questions Mike about who had paid for the funeral. Sookie steps out from behind a tree and tells Tara that it was her that paid for it. The two embrace and soon Sookie asks Tara to move back in and Tara gladly agrees too.
During a disturbing dream, Bill flashes back to when he was first turned and tried to visit his wife. Approaching the door, he is met by his wife with a shotgun. Once she sees it’s Bill, she puts the gun down. Caroline tells him that his son Thomas has died from small pox and that she needs to bury him. Beginning to cry by the coffin, Bill looks up at his wife and she screams when she sees his tears of blood. Thinking that he’s an evil being, she pulls out the gun again and fires off a shot. Caroline tries to escape when she sees that he is still alive after being shot. Lorena blocks her exit. Back inside, Lorena tells Bill to glamour Caroline so that she will not remember that he was ever there.
Daydreaming in his truck at work, Jason begins to dream of him taking the test to be a deputy. He begins to have a hard time understanding the test and walks up to the front desk where Bud is. Asking Bud for a new test, Jason becomes upset when he sees Bud with a bullet hole in his forehead. The whole class begins to laugh at him so Jason turns around and they all have bullet holes. Thankfully, at that time, Lafayette needs his attention at work. Asking Jason to sign a form but they are interrupted when they hear Hoyt screaming. Rushing over, they see that Hoyt has uncovered a dead body minus the head and hands.
At home, Sookie is busy scrubbing the floor of the latest blood stain when she hears a man’s thoughts coming up behind her. Running inside and screaming, the man soon calms her down when he tells her his name is Alcide. Eric has sent him to watch over Sookie when she goes to Jackson. His family owed Eric a favor since his father had borrowed money from him.
Sam is not too happy when he sees his new found family walking into his bar. He was hoping that he would have more time before he saw them again. They are happy though when he tells them that lunch is on him. The trio settle in for some free food and drinks.
Andy, Bud and Kenya observe the body that Hoyt discovered in the ditch. After discussing the possibilities of what might have happened, Bud shocks them all by telling them he quits. He is tired of finding dead bodies and he says he’s done being a Sheriff. Taking off his badge, he storms off.
Before waking from his dream, Lorena’s words fill his mind. She told him that the only way to protect your human is to stay away. Bill comes downstairs and joins Russell and the others. To the relief of Russell and Lorena, Bill tells him that he renounces his loyalty to Queen Sophie Anne and pledges his new loyalty to Russell, the king of MS. Russell tells him that Sookie will be safe which makes Lorena mad. He had promised to kill Sookie.
Later Lafayette gets an unwanted visit from Eric. Arriving in a brand new sports car, Lafayette knows Eric’s up to something. Eric tells Lafayette that the car is his for being an excellent V dealer. Eric tries to convince Lafayette to continue working for him and Lafayette only tells him that he will think about it.
Back at Merlotte’s, Arlene tries to approach Terri about the baby situation. Before she can even explain who the father is, Terri assumes he’s the father and he is ecstatic. Arlene now doesn’t know what to do and lets him believe he is the father.
Sam notices a tray of shots going over to Micken’s table and quickly checks up on them. Once he sees that Joe plans on sharing the shots with Tommy, Sam puts a stop to it. Tommy is under age and he tells them he could lose his liquor license. Not really caring about that, they continue to try and drink them. Practically getting in a fight, Sam tells them to leave since they have had enough to drink.
Answering the front door, Jessica tries to frighten away Franklin Mott but she soon realizes that he too is a Vampire. Entering Bill’s house, he questions her if she’s lost something. Not understanding what he’s talking about, Jessica soon finds out when he pulls the dead man’s head out of a shopping bag. He tells her that since he helped her, she will be helping him.
Sam wakes up when he hears his alarm going off. Entering the bar slowly, he approaches his office where he hears a noise. Looking inside, he sees a bird quickly fly away. Walking in, he also sees that his office has been searched. He also notices the clothes left behind by the nameless shape shifter.
In Jackson, Sookie and Alcide head into the Werewolf bar known as the Lou Pines Bar. Once inside, the decide to separate. Soon, Sookie plays the ditsy blonde and has a group of men around her. Reading the thoughts of one man in particular, she turns all her attention towards him. She finds out that his name is Gus and he was one of the men that kidnapped Bill. Alone in a back room, she tries to get more information from him but he proves to be too overpowering and Sookie begins to scream. Immediately, Alcide comes to her rescue and soon finds himself in a fight with Gus. The fight gets broken up and Gus is thrown out by the bartender. The bartender also tells Alcide some news that upsets him greatly. He lets him know that his ex-girlfriend Debbie is getting engaged to Coot. It appears that Alcide is not completely over her.
Back in Bon Temps, Tara gets an unexpected visit from Franklin. She is surprised and very suspicious about how he found her and what he wants. Tara tells him that he cannot enter the house but using his particular ways, he is able to convince her to let him in.
Alone again in his room, Bill watches as Lorena enters in after him. Try as he might, he tries to convince her that he doesn’t love her. Lorena, not wanting to believe him continues to provoke him. Not being able to handle much more, Bill goes off in a rage and slams her down on the bed. Aggressively taking her, he hears Lorena tell him that she loves him. Not wanting to see her face, Bill twist her head all around , breaking her neck. Being a Vampire, this of course doesn’t kill her and she continues to tell him that she loves him and that he’s hers. Bill, feeling completely devastated by the turn of events, grabs his head and screams out in anguish.
