Russell brings both Sookie and Bill to his mansion. Escaping, Bill rushes forward and plunges a stake through one of the guards. Next, he attempts to jump on Russell’s shoulders and kill him also. Of course, being over 3,000 years old, Russell is a bit faster than Bill. Russell throws Bill up against the ceiling without even thinking about it.
Eric grabs Sookie and brings her to Russell. He tells Russell that he’s not quite sure what she is but that he knows she’s quite valuable. Seeing his betrayal, Sookie tells Eric that she will never forgive him. Russell has the guards lock Bill away in the old slave quarters and orders Lorena to kill him.
Closing time at Merlotte’s and Arlene, Lafayette and Jessica are ready to leave. Instead, a rude lady in curlers demands to get a full meal. Arlene tells Lafayette the bad news that he has to cook again but he is surprised when Jesus offers to help him out.

Cutting up the fruit for the bar, Arlene accidentally cuts her finger. Jessica sees the blood and instantly her fangs come down. Holding her silver necklace and telling Jessica that she takes garlic supplements, Arlene begs Jessica not to hurt her or the baby. Of course, Jessica is instantly offended and feels awful that her fangs came out. Arlene runs off and Jessica yells after her that she’s sorry but she has eaten in a long time.
Deep in the woods, Jason and Crystal begin to make out and soon the kissing turns a bit more passionate. Jason tells her that he doesn’t want his heart to get broken and suddenly Crystal has second thoughts about what she’s doing. She begins to sniff the air and tells him they need to leave. Telling him it’s too dangerous for them to be together, Crystal tells him she can never see him again and runs off.
Alone with Eric, Sookie tries to understand why Eric would betray her. Eric rushes to her and tells her in her face that she means nothing to him and to not get in his way. At that moment, Russell walks in and wants to question Sookie alone.
Arlene and Jessica wait patiently while the woman takes her time eating. Feeling bad that she glamour all of Arlene’s customers into not leaving her a tip, Jessica tells Arlene she’ll get rid of the lady. Jessica walks up to her table and glamour’s the lady into being finished with her meal, leaving all her money as a tip and to go straight to the ladies room. Walking past Arlene, the lady goes straight into the ladies room where Jessica instantly bites her on her neck.
Feeling a bit nervous a few minutes later, Arlene checks up on the lady in the bathroom. Arlene is surprised when the lady appears and tells Arlene what a wonderful server she was and leaves the bar. Jessica suddenly appears and acts like nothing happened.
Lafayette and Jesus are sitting in his car trying to get better acquainted with each other. Jesus tells him that he traveled all around with his mother. Lafayette also learns that Jesus has no idea who his father is. His mother was raped and he is a child from that situation. Feeling a bit closer to each other, Lafayette and Jesus begin to kiss.
Russell begins questioning Sookie. He allows her to also ask him a few questions too. Russell asks Sookie what she is. Answering honestly as she can, she tells him that she can read everyone’s thoughts but Vampires. She also tells him about the chain she through at Ratray’s throat and how it circled around his neck on its own. As far as the light from her hands, she tells him that she has no idea what it means and that it had only recently started. Hoping to have given him what he wants, she once again pleads with him to free Bill. Russell of course has no desire to do so.
In the old slave quarters, Bill is tied down with silver chains. Lorena unrolls a pouch of cutting devices. Bill tries to talk with her and tells her that he wished he had met her before she was a Vampire. Saying she has no choice, Lorena begins to cut Bill.
Franklin appears before Tara who is tied to the bed wearing silk pajamas. He tells her that he wants to look nice for her since this was their wedding night. Franklin also lets her know that Sookie is there in the mansion too. Tara begins to kiss him and soon convinces him to untie her wrists. Arousing him further, she tells him that she wants to taste his blood. He yells for her to bite him. Tara suddenly starts to bite his neck violently, spewing blood everywhere and Franklin becomes even more aroused.
Russell has his guards bring Sookie up to one of the bedrooms. Russell interrupts Talbot and Eric’s card game to tell Eric that they are leaving. This of course upsets Talbot because he feels that he is always left behind.
Once alone in there and finding no way of escape, she begins to cry. Suddenly, Sookie hears Tara talking to her and telling her not to worry because she was going to help them both escape when the sun comes up.
In the limo ride to the Queen’s home, Russell questions Eric about his relationship with Sookie. Eric tells his taste lie elsewhere. Eric finds out that Russell has been supplying blood to the werewolves in order to use and control them. Shocking Eric, Russell tells him of his plan for human extinction.
Lafayette invites Jesus into his home. Before they have a chance to get better acquainted, they hear a noise outside. Once outside, they see it’s 3 rednecks and they are breaking out his car windows with a baseball bat. Sneaking up on them, Jesus is able to get the bat away. Lafayette starts hitting the guy over and over. The redneck tells him that he has no desire to sell Vampire blood for him. Once they leave, Jesus asks Lafayette if he’s a drug dealer. When Lafayette confirms this, Jesus looks away disgusted and asks for a ride back to his car.
Queen Sophie Anne is on the floor amongst a hundred or so scratch tickets, scratching them off one by one in hopes of winning big and fixing all of her money troubles. She gets an unwanted surprise when she looks up and sees Russell standing there. Once again, he is proposing marriage. She of course denies him. Russell promises her that he will pay all of her debt off but that still doesn’t make her say yes. Suddenly, Eric is at her throat and uses his strength to convince her to say yes to Russell.
Alone with Bill, Lorena has seemed to have used many of her cutting devices on him. Bill is now laying in a puddle of blood barely conscious. Coot and Debbie come barreling in and tell Lorena that they thought she would be sleeping. Looking at all the blood, Coot and Debbie ask Lorena if they could drink it. She tells them yes and to suck up whatever’s left of Bill.
Sam tries to once again convince Tommy to tell him what Joe Lee wants with him. Tommy tells Sam that he’s not scared of Joe Lee and that there is nothing to worry about. Melinda shows up with a pan of corn fritters. She asks if she can be alone with Tommy for a minute and Sam agrees and leaves. Once he’s gone, Melinda tells Tommy that they need Joe Lee. Apparently, she used to shift into a fighting dog but now she’s too old and it’s Tommy’s turn. Melinda soon convinces Tommy that Sam isn’t like them and he will never really be part of their family.
Moving quietly out of the bed, Tara approaches the display of medieval clubs. Grabbing one that has spikes on the end, Tara begins to bash in Franklin’s head. Posing as a cook, Tara arrives at Sookie’s door carrying a bowl of almonds. She tells Gus that she needs to enter the room. Reluctantly, he lets her in. Once inside, Sookie and Tara both attack him and knock him out. They both run for the front door.
Not wanting to give up on Crystal, Jason arrives at her house with a bouquet of roses. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Crystal that opened the door but her redneck fiancé. Crystal arrives and denies that she knows Jason and tells him to leave.
Lafayette takes his anger out on Arlene that morning making her wonder why he’s so grouchy. Seeing Sam, Arlene tells him that it’s not fair to play favorites with his relatives and let them have an animal. Not understanding what she’s talking about, Arlene clarifies that she saw Melinda and Joe Lee loading up a pit bull into their van. Sam takes off.
On the way out of the mansion, Tara tries to tell Sookie to leave Bill because he wouldn’t help her. Sookie tells her that Bill was only doing those things to protect her. Not able to convince Sookie to come with her, Tara takes off to find a car and Sookie runs out to find Bill.
Hiding, Sookie waits as she sees Coot and Debbie come out where Bill is. They are acting like they are high on V and Sookie mumbles “trash” under her breath. Once the coast was clear, Sookie ran into the building. Seeing Bill laying motionless on the floor, Sookie runs over to him. Thinking he might be gone, she is happy when she hears him say “Sookie”. Before she has a chance to help him, Lorena appears before her. She throws Sookie against the wall and grabs her neck and begins to bite her.
Running towards the woods, Tara is startled when she sees a beautiful white wolf. Suddenly, the wolf becomes a naked Alcide. Before she has a chance to run away, Alcide tells her that he’s there to save Sookie. Shocking him, Tara asks if he has a car and he says yes.
