Hearing the knocking at the door, Hoyt answers it and sees Summer standing there with a large platter of biscuits. Coming in , she tells him that his place could use some sprucing up and decides to tell him exactly how she feels. In the back of Alcide’s work truck, Sookie begs Bill to wake up. She takes a hand held saw and cuts open her arm. Bringing her arm to Bill’s mouth, she is relieved to see him respond and begin to drink. Soon, Bill’s fangs come out and he begins to drink hungrily from her. He overpowers Sookie and shoves her on her back and begins to drink heavily from her neck. Sookie tries to scream but Bill holds her down and covers her mouth. Soon, Sookie passes out from lack of blood.
Jason shows up at the jail to question drug dealer T-Dub. T-Dub is pacing back and forth in the cell like a caged animal. T-Dub tells Jason that Crystal is his cousin. T-Dub tells Jason that he will not answer anything else until he gets some crystal meth. Jason tries to tell him that he can’t do that when Andy comes in and tells Jason to go wash some police cars.
Alcide pulls over to go to the bathroom and Tara decides to check up on Sookie. Laying on the dirt road, Bill looks up at the sun and wonders why he’s not in complete pain.
Once at the hospital, the doctors try everything they can to revive Sookie. When they give her a blood transfusion, they are all shocked to see her body reject it and Sookie begins to have seizures. Picking up the glass, she begins to walk on a trail of flower petals towards a bright light. Once outside, she meets Claudine who takes her to the magical garden where a pond is. She fills her glass from a picture of water that seems to be full of a bright light. Drinking from the glass, Sookie tells her that it’s the most amazing thing she’s ever tasted. Suddenly, a beautiful women comes up from the water. Claudine tells her that the water is much deeper than she thinks. Sookie and Claudine go off to join the others who are dancing.
Back in the hospital, Tara, Jason and Lafayette wait by Sookie’s side hoping that she would wake up. Sookie is still in her magical world. There, Claudine tries to convince her to stay and go into the water back to their home. Sookie tells her telepathically that she can’t swim and that she was afraid because her parents drowned. Claudine tells her that her parents were not killed in the flood. Before Sookie has a chance to ask her about her parents, Claudine becomes frightened and tells her that the darkness approaches.
In Sookie’s hospital room, Tara, Jason and Lafayette are shocked when they see Bill enter the room. He tells them that his blood is the only thing that will save her. Feeling that he may be right, Jason goes ahead and tells Bill to do it.

Sookie is confused about what is happening and refuses to leave with them. Claudine tries to get Sookie to promise not to give him her light before she too jumps into the magical pond. Soon, Sookie is left all alone and she passes out. Beside Sookie’s hospital bed, they all watch on as Sookie’s body takes Bill’s blood without a problem.
