Laying outside in the burning sun, Eric tells Russell exactly why he did what he did. Soon, Godric appears to Eric and tells him to let Russell go free. Eric has absolutely no desire at that time to listen to Godric. His hatred from Russell is too great.
Sookie finds herself running to a bright light soon is awaken by Bill calling her name. Sitting up on the table, she remembers what has happened and slaps Bill hard across the face.
Asking where Eric is, Pam tells her that Eric has handcuffed himself to Russell and is burning up outside. Not wanting this to happen, Sookie races outside to help Eric. Not knowing what to do, Russell provokes her until she uses her special powers and a burst of light comes from her hands. The handcuffs come apart. Russell still taunts her and Sookie uses her powers again and tosses him aside. Sookie drags Eric inside to safety.
Once inside, Bill bites open her wrist so that she can feed Eric so he can heal himself. Sookie tells Bill to watch over Eric and make sure he doesn’t get carried away.

Tara wakes up the next morning to see Sam cooking hot cakes. Telling him that he has never cooked her breakfast before, Sam informs her it’s because she never spent the night. Telling him that he barks in his sleep, Sam finally confides in Tara about being a shape shifter.
Back at Fangtasia, Eric is feeling better thanks to Sookie’s blood. He shocks them all when he tells them that they must bring Russell back inside. He tells them that Godric appeared to him and asked that he show mercy for him. Seeing that no one is willing to help, Sookie goes back outside with a silver chain and brings Russell back in. They bind him with silver chains when he is inside. Russell is so burnt up that one of his fangs falls out.
After hearing Sam’s confession, Tara tells him that she is done with all the super natural happenings and just wants to go away and start all over. She wants to start a new life and be a different person.
Once Russell is tied up, Eric call Alcide and asks him for the use of his van. Telling him that if he does all of this, his father’s debts will be all cleared up. Eric agrees. Bill, Pam and Eric go to ground for sleep and Sookie is left to watch over Russell.
The DEA show up at the sheriff’s office to plan a raid on Hotshot. Jason comes in and tries to get them to include him. Andy soon drags Jason off before he says something stupid. Once alone, Andy lets it slip that the raid was happening today. Jason takes off to warn everyone.
Hoyt shows up for work and sees his mother, Summer and his old HS guidance councilor waiting for him. They have planned an intervention and insist that he listen. Half way through it, he tells his mother that if she doesn’t want any part of Jessica than she is dead to him. He tells Summer that he wishes her luck in finding the right man but it’s not him. Hoyt gets up and walks away.
Lafayette shows up early to work and forgets his keys. Sam is there and begins to unlock the door. When Lafayette looks back at Sam, he has a vision of Sam standing there with blood on his hands and saying “cross me and you’re a dead man”. Seeing his expression, Sam asks Lafayette if he’s ok.
Russell tries to convince Sookie to release him. He promises her wealth and even his house if she does. Soon, Russell begins a rant about how good her blood tasted and Sookie can’t bear to hear anymore. She picks up the glass container that holds the remains of Talbot and pours it down the garbage disposal. Russell begins to scream.
Jason and Crystal race off to warn Calvin and the rest about the DEA raid. Calvin refuses any help from Jason. Crystal tells him that he needs to get rid of the Vampire blood but soon Felton shows up high on the V and demands they hand it over to him. Proving that he is serious, he shoots one man and after Calvin calls him a coward, he shoots Calvin in the head.
Felton demands that Crystal get in the truck and go off with him. Jason tries to convince him not to take her but Felton doesn’t listen. Jason tells Crystal that he will find her and Crystal tells Jason to take care of her family. Jason promises and Felton and Crystal leave.
Sam arrives at his rentals to see Terry crying. Thinking it’s about the way he treated him the day before, Sam apologizes. Terry tells him they are tears of joy and not sadness. Sam heads on over to Tommy’s house and sees that Tommy has taken off. Sam rushes off to Merlotte’s. Once at Merlotte’s, Sam is angry when he sees his safe is gone. Loading his gun, Sam takes off.
Tara arrives at her mother’s house and discovers her mother and Reverend Daniels kissing. Walking out, Lettie Mae follows her out and tells her that they love each other. She tells Tara that she is so happy and that she is going to be a ministers wife. Battling what to say, Tara says she’s happy for her and leaves.
After seeing Sam rush through Merlotte’s, Arlene is on edge. She tells Lafayette that she hopes Sam isn’t going to start yelling at them again. Lafayette looks at Arlene and sees Rene standing next to her and saying “I’m inside her…right now…and she can’t get rid of me”. Rene begins to choke her and then Lafayette hears Arlene say “this is hell…we’re in hell”! Lafayette screams and runs off.
Alcide arrives at Fangtasia and Sookie is quite happy to see him. He tells her that he missed her and that he has had a few dreams about her. Eric drags Russell out in the chains. Before heading for home, Sookie tells all the Vampires that there she rescinds her invitation and they are not allowed in her home.
Down at the station, Andy carefully examines the vile of Vampire blood he saved. Before he has a chance to taste it, the DEA agents come back with Jason in handcuffs. They are angry that Jason tipped off the residents of Hot Shot. Jason tries to explain to them what happened with Felton and that he kidnapped Crystal and left town.
Lafayette is relieved when he sees Jesus arrive at Merlotte’s. Pulling him aside, Lafayette tells him what’s been happening. Jesus explains to him that maybe ever since he took that V, he opened up something and it is now making him more sensitive. Jesus explains to him about his grandmother teaching him magic. Jesus confesses to Lafayette that he is a witch. This surprises Lafayette but doesn’t scare him away.
Back at Sookie’s house, Tara picks up a pair of scissors and begins to cut off her hair. Sookie arrives and sees Tara’s new hair. Telling her that she likes it. The two share a meal together and it feels like old times. Tara gets up and tells Sookie she is heading to Merlotte’s. Hugging her goodbye, Tara heads on out. Tara drives up to Merlotte’s and takes one last look and drives away.
Bill and Eric arrive at a construction site. Eric has Russell chained up and thrown into a large construction hole. Before Eric turns on the cement machine, Russell vows to come back and take out his revenge. Eric turns on the cement mixer and fills up the hole.
Bill turns around to shake Eric’s hand but surprises Eric when he puts a silver handcuff on him instead. Bill tosses Eric into the other hole and begins to fill it up with concrete too. Mimicking Eric’s voice, Bill calls Ruben and tells him to kill Pam.
Hoyt brings a blindfolded Jessica to an empty house. Once inside, he takes the blindfold off and tells her that he got the house for them both. Jessica is so happy and is already planning on painting. Surprising her further, Hoyt asks Jessica to marry him. The two begin to hug. Unbeknownst to either of them there is a mysterious doll laying on the floor in one of the rooms.
Around this time, Maxine Fortenberry is in the local gun shop looking for a good rifle while Reverend Newlin is spouting off his beliefs on the TV.
Sookie opens the door to find a sullen faced Bill standing there. She invites him in and confesses to her that he has killed Eric and Pam. He informs her that he plans on killing anyone that knows about her. Telling her that he will do anything to protect her.
Before Sookie has a chance to forgive him, Eric is at the front door and not too happy. Eric tells Sookie that Bill was sent by Queen Sophie Anne to obtain her because of what she is. Eric also tells Sookie that Bill set her up to get attacked by the Rattray’s within an inch of her life so that he could give her some of his blood. Bill does not deny any of it and Sookie demands that he leaves.
Eric apologizes for the hurt this news has caused her but felt it was time to tell the truth. Sookie tells them all to go to hell and slams the door.
Driving along the road, Sam stops when he sees Tommy. Grabbing his gun, Sam jumps out of his truck and chases after him. Firing a shot into the air, Tommy finally stops. Sam demands his money back but Tommy tells him no. Tommy tells Sam that he can’t read and won’t know what to do without the money. Not caring and still demanding the money back, Tommy takes off saying he knows Sam won’t shoot. Sam proves him wrong by firing a shot off in his direction.
Alone and crying, Sookie takes off toward the cemetery. She falls at the head stone of her grandmother. Sookie begins to tell her how lonely she feels when Claudine suddenly appears. Claudine tells her that she is not alone and tells Sookie to go with them. Sookie walks towards Claudine and suddenly a bright light comes from her hand. She touches her hand to Claudine’s and they all disappear.
At Bill’s, Queen Sophie Anne arrives to gloat about being a wealthy widow and excited about finally getting Sookie. Unfortunately, Bill informs her that he did not bring Sookie for her and that only one of them were getting out alive. With fangs bared, they both fly up into the air and prepare to battle.
