Sitting in jail, Jason discusses how all his worldly possessions will get divided up with Rene. Making Rene quite happy, Jason has told him that he can have his truck. Sookie also pays him a visit. Not liking the fact that he keeps admitting to the murders without any real evidence. Trying to give him hope, she tells Jason that she thinks she knows who the killer is. Rene of course is interested in hearing this too.
Later on, Jason also gets an unexpected visit from a member of the church the “Fellowship of the Sun”. Filling Jason’s head full of nonsense about the evil of Vampires, Jason finds he can not stop listening to the man.
Waking up in a large comfy bed feels like a heaven to Tara. Walking onto the veranda, Tara notices a beautiful breakfast set up for her. Wondering if maybe this is a dream. Of course, Maryann lets her know that it is all real and that she can stay as long as she likes. She just wants to help her get back on her feet. No strings attached.
By afternoon, Tara decides to go for a swim in the large pool. Feeling rejuvenated, she enters the house. Only to be surprised by another guest staying with Maryann. A certain man named “Eggs” who was playing the guitar. Getting to know one another better, she soon realizes they have a few things
in common.
Across the mansion grounds, something peculiar is happening. Maryann is sitting across from a pig. The most peculiar part is how she is almost “fluttering” without actually moving. Almost like she is vibrating. Now that is peculiar.
Not wanting to sit around the house and worry about Jason, Sookie leaves for
work. Sam of course wishes that she would stay home. Of course, after being
at Merlotte’s for a short time and listening to everyone’s thoughts about
Jason, Sookie soon discovers maybe Sam was right. Heading out to her car
only to find it won’t start doesn’t make her feel any better.
Thank God Rene was there to “help”. Talking her into him taking her home and
watching out for her, Sookie jumps in his truck. Upon arriving home, Sookie
goes in the kitchen to make him some ice tea. Sneaking up on her and
startling her allowed Sookie to suddenly get a glimpse of his thoughts.
Realizing that he was thinking about how he murdered her grandmother in that
very kitchen, Sookie tries to flee.
Unfortunately, Rene is way ahead of her. She reaches for the rifle only to
find he has taken out the bullets. Using the next best thing, Sookie hits
him over the head with the butt of the rifle. Knocking him out for a moment.
Allowing her to run out of the house in hopes of escaping him. Rene soon
follows after her.
Meanwhile, Sam realizes that Rene’s work vest was left in a booth. Grabbing
hold of it, he suddenly gets the scent of the murderer and now knows it’s
Rene. Running out of Merlotte’s, Sam hopes he is not too late. Shape
Shifting into a dog at Sookie’s house, Sam races off to find her before Rene
does.
Bill, upon hearing Sookie’s cries for help, awakes from his slumber in the
ground to help her. Knowing that walking out into the sun could very well be
the end of him. Knowing that it is well worth the risk. He must get to
Sookie.
Sookie is fighting for her life but she is no match for Rene. He quickly get
her to the ground, knocking her out. Sam jumps for Rene and tries his best
to get him off of Sookie. Rene attacks Sam. Kicking him until he shifts back
into human form.
Bill feels helpless as he looks on. Knowing that he might be too late. One
last look at Sookie, Bill collapses on the ground. Burned almost beyond
recognition. Almost immediately, Sookie feels a strength enter her and she
is able to fight back. Knocking Rene out with a shovel and eventually
plunging the shovel in his neck, severing it.
Taking Bill’s body, Sam proceeds to bury him in hopes that he will be well
again. Sookie recovers on the couch as her friends pay her a visit. Tara
included. Feeling that there is no chance for her a Sam, Tara decides to
leave when Maryann pulls up to collect her. Seeing Maryann, Sam seems to
recognize her. From the way she spoke to him, I would say there is some
unfinished business between these too.
Andy is not too happy about the news and reluctantly lets Jason go. Still
believing he’s the murderer. Jason visits Sookie to how she’s doing. Only to
let her know that he is going to be a changed man from now on. I think he
will be the newest member of the “Fellowship of the Sun” church. A very
dedicated member indeed.
Waiting for Sookie to arrive, Bill gets an unexpected visit from Eric and
Pam. They are bringing Jessica back. I guess even Eric has his limits.
Insisting that Bill take her back, Jessica has now become Bill’s problem
again.
Meanwhile, back at Merlotte’s Sam is suspiciously cleaning out his safe.
Such a large sum of money for a lonely tavern owner. Whatever is he going to
do with all that money. Is Sam leaving town since Maryann is now in it?
2 weeks later finds Andy drowning his sorrows at Merlotte’s. Tara sharing a
drink with him to try and comfort him. Feeling like the whole town thinks
he’s a joke, Andy continues drinking. Closing time and Tara and Sookie
insist on taking Andy’s keys. Calling his sister to take him home. Andy
insists on going to his car. Finally finding his car, Andy and the girls get
more than they bargain for. There seems to be a foot with painted nail
polish on it hanging out. I do believe that there still might be a murderer
out there.
