Stepping into the bright light with Claudine, Sookie soon finds herself in fairy land. Looking around, Sookie sees a familiar face, Barry the bellboy from Dallas is there too.He too had just arrived. Soon a beautiful fairy brings by a bowl of Luminaire or light fruit. They grab one but Sookie is cautious and doesn’t take a bite. Before she could stop him, Barry had already taken a few bites of his.
Glancing around, Sookie is startled to see her grandfather Earl standing alone and enjoying a light fruit. Slowly approaching him, it takes a moment or two for him to recognize Sookie. He tells her that it feels like he had only seen her last week. Sookie informs him that the last time she saw him was 20 years ago.
Sensing that all is not as it seems, Sookie telepathically tells him that she thinks its a trap and that they need to leave. Of course, all of the fairies heard that and soon she draws the attention of Queen Mab. Queen Mab blames Sookie for a Vampire breaching their land and informs Sookie that now they are harvesting all of the humans that have fairy blood in them.

Sookie suddenly flashes and begins to see the queen and the surroundings for what they really were. A cold desolate place and is run by evil looking creatures and not pretty fairies. Queen Mab tries to force Sookie to eat the fruit. Trying to fight them from forcing her to eat the light fruit, Sookie uses her power and a bright light shines out and knocks the queen down. Soon, fairy land turns into a barren wasteland and Queen Mab into a ugly creature.
Sookie grabs her grandfather and they run off while being chased by the evil fairies. The fairies soon begin to throw balls of light like bombs at Sookie and Earl. Running for the hills Sookie is helped out by a few fairies that do not follow Queen Mab’s rules. Showing them a portal to their world, they tell them to jump. Slightly apprehensive, they have no choice since Queen Mab was beginning to close the portal. Taking her hand, Earl jumps in with Sookie.
Arriving back in the cemetery, Earl is stunned to see he is really back home. Within seconds however, he begins to feel the effects of his true age coming on. Collapsing by his wife’s grave, Earl hands over his pocket watch to Sookie for Jason before turning into dust. Sookie breaks down and cries, mourning him all over.
Approaching her house, Sookie is a bit surprised when she sees the house has been painted and there were many men fixing it up inside and out. Opening the front door, one man yells for her not to enter the house or he will call the cops. Saying it was her house, she enters and slams the door in his face.
Jason arrives soon after and stuns Sookie when she sees he is wearing a police uniform. Hugging her to him tightly, Jason tells her they were all so worried for her. Telling him she was only gone for 10 minutes but Jason tells her it was actually 12 1/2 months since she vanished. He also tells her the bad news that after he had figured she was dead, he sold her house to a private firm.
Sensing that Sookie was back, Bill arrives but can see that Sookie still didn’t trust him. Telling her that he understands but he never stopped loving her. Making matters worse, Eric shows up and informs Sookie that he was the only one that believed she wasn’t dead. Andy soon pulls up front and is irate that she was actually alive. Screaming about how much money and man power he used trying to find her. Bill steps in and tells Andy that Sookie was gone on Vampire business in order to shut Andy up.
Noticing how unstable Andy seemed, Jason stepped in and got Andy to head back to his car. Once there, Jason confronts him about using V again. Denying he was using, Jason soon discovered his lie when he found the V in the visor.
Jesus practically drags Lafayette to another meeting for witches. Getting tired of all of it, Lafayette tries to leave but soon Jesus convinces him to enter the Moon Goddess store. In the back, he sees a circle of men and women chanting and led by an older woman named Marny. Two members get up to greet them. Bringing him in closer, Marny soon begins to mumble. Not understanding any of it until he realizes she was channeling Eddy. Lafayette freaks out and leaves with Jesus.
Arlene arrives home from the store to find baby Mikey sitting in the middle of the floor surrounded by dolls he had just decapitated. Screaming for Terry, Arlene explains to him that she is afraid that Mikey might become a serial killer just like his daddy. Terry blows it off like it was a natural thing for a baby to do.
Tara also now known as Tony was in a ring and beating another woman in a fist fight. After the fight, Tara/Tony steps out back for a smoke. The woman she beat Naomi joins her. After a little bit of teasing, the two begin to kiss.
Hoyt enters the home he shares with Jessica and becomes irritated that once again there was no hot food waiting for him. Soon a fight begins and Jessica gets up to make him eggs. Throwing the egg and the shells into a pan, she angrily puts it on a plate and serves it to him. Hoyt being so upset, hungrily digs into it. Soon, they both see how silly they are acting and begin to laugh.
Down at Fangtasia, Pam gives a very unfriendly interview to a reporter about how friendly Vampires were. Seeing Eric enter, Nan Flanagan stops the interview and asks Eric to step in. Sitting down, Eric becomes very charming and the interview continues. About this same time, Bill finishes up a speech for the Chamber of Commerce and cuts the ribbon on a new building.
Sookie is greeted at Merlotte’s with warm hugs. Everyone was happy to have her back. Sam seemed a bit irritated though and told her she could start back only part time. Sitting down, Sookie joins Portia Bellefleur at a table. Sookie has hired her to figure out how to buy her house back. Reading her thoughts, Sookie discovers that Portia knows all about her and Bill .
Trying to make Jessica happy, Hoyt takes her to Fangtasia where she immediately begins to dance and soon draws the attention of a young man. Seeing this, Jessica smiles and the man walks over to her and asks her to dance. Telling him no and that she was there with her boyfriend, he walks off. Jessica tries hard to fight her nature and bring the man to a private area and drink his blood. Soon, she heads to the bathroom and doesn’t notice that Pam has followed her there. Pam confronts her and asks her how long is she going to fight her Vampire nature. Not wanting to hear anymore, Jessica storms off.
Later on that evening, Sam is sitting at a table with 3 others and talking to them about his issues with Tommy. After a few drinks and good company, he stands up and says he’s ready. The rest follow him and begin to strip. They are also shape shifters and seconds later, they all shift into horses and head out for a run in the woods.
Jason arrives at the meth compound in Hot Shot with food and supplies. He tries to explain to them that they need to cook the meat first before they eat it but they really don’t care. Handing Timbo a big tub of ice cream, he tells him to put it into the freezer. Timbo tells him the freezer is broken. Jason heads over to check it out. Leaning inside, he tries to see what the problem was when suddenly Timbo hits him over the head and Jason lands in the freezer. Timbo locks it while Jason screams out.
At the Moon Goddess store, they are once again in a circle with Marny leading them. Tonight she surprises her coven when she begins a chant that allows her to bring back her familiar. In the middle of the chant, she looks at Lafayette and demands that he join and hold hands. As soon as he sits and joins hands, a powerful surge travels through the coven and they are all surprised when they see the bird fly around.
Later that evening, Miss Pelham, who is a member of the coven arrives at the King’s home to inform him what has happened. Turning around to greet his guest, we see that Bill is the new King of Louisiana.
Stepping out of the shower, Sookie tosses her towel to the side and is stunned when it is caught by Eric. Asking if his blood will ever wear off because he always seems to be there and reading her thoughts. Surprising her further, Eric shows her the keys to her house and tells her he is the new owner. Explaining that if he owns the house, then he owns her.Stressing his point he tells her “you are mine”.
