True Blood Episode 41 Season 4 Synopsis & Soundtrack
Joe Lee keeps the chain around Tommy and begins to jerk him violently. As Tommy struggles to breathe, he can hear Melinda asking Joe Lee not to hurt him too much. Soon, Tommy goes still and they think that he has passed out. While their backs are turned and they begin to discuss the upcoming fight, Tommy stands up and begins to choke Joe Lee with the chain.
The two begin to fight. Melinda tries to stop them but gets shoved aside. Taking a metal bar, Tommy beats Joe Lee until he is dead. Melinda tries to stop Tommy but Tommy is in a mental state of survival and soon turns to attacking her. Before he realizes what he’s done, it’s too late. His mother also lies still and is dead.
After Marnie wakes up, she tries to explain to Lafayette, Tara and Jesus that a malevolent spirit had taken over her body and caused her to say those things. Upset that Marnie once again caused another Vampire to want to kill them, they head on out. Marnie yells for them to come back but theykeep on walking.
Staring at the words written on the wall, Terry and Arlene try to figure out how it got there and by whom. Arlene believes that it is the ghost of Rene and tries to convince Terry of this. Terry decides the best thing to do is to get a pastor there and get rid of any evil spirits.

Eric and Godric look at Sookie while she is sleeping. Godric tries to convince Eric to drink her blood with him, Eric refuses and tells Godric that he would never hurt Sookie. Standing beside her bed, Godric demands that Eric drink and soon both of them bend down to feed.
Eric wakes up suddenly and is so happy to realize that it was just a dream. Leaving his cubby, he goes to Sookies room and watches her as she sleeps. Sookie wakes up and demands to know what Eric is doing in her room. Not knowing what else to say, he tells her he had a bad dream. Sookie looks at him in disbelief.
Hoyt and Jessica put Jason in his bed. Seeing Jessica take care of his best friend, Hoyt tells her how happy that makes him to see that.Bending down to give her a kiss, Hoyt becomes upset when Jessica dodges the kiss. Asking her what’s wrong, Jessica tells him nothing is. Seeing that she was not being honest, Hoyt tells her that she can leave, he was going to stay with Jason.
Portia storms into Bill’s office and tries to make him agree that it is no big deal if they sleep together. Trying to explain to him that incest was now legal in many states. Seeing that she has no intention of letting this go, Bill decides to glamour her. Looking into her eyes, Bill tells her that she is afraid of him and that every time she sees him, she will run off screaming. Moments later, Portia runs screaming from his office.
Once again, Sookie finds herself consoling Eric. He explains to her what happened in his dream. Sookie tells Eric that Godric was his maker and that he loved him. He would never want him to harm her. Eric asks Sookie if she believed he was evil and Sookie tells him no. Eric lays his head in her lap as she brushes her fingers through his hair.
Pam arrives in Bill’s office with a large black hat on with a black veil. Lifting the veil up, Bill sees that Pam’s face is rotting off. Pam demands that he find the witch responsible and kill her. Bill tells her that there is no way he could allow that. The Vampire League would never permit him to kill a human.
Jesus and Lafayette prepare to leave for Mexico. Jesus wants to find his grandfather who is a shaman and get his help. Questioning this plan, Lafayette needs more reassuring. Jesus explains about the power he got when he was 6 years old and his grandfather had him kill a goat and lick the blood off of the knife. The power he got from that experience is the power he wants to use to fight the witch.
After Lafayette and Jesus finally leave, Tara calls up her girlfriend Naomi and tells her she will be home soon. After a moment of silence, Naomi asks who the hell is Tara Thornton. Tara is left speechless and is not sure what to say.
Tommy arrives at Sam’s and is frantic for his help. He shows Sam the bodies of Melinda and Joe Lee in the back of the van and asks Sam what to do. Soon the two are driving down the road and Sam tries to calm Tommy down. Making things worse, Andy decides to pull them over. Wanting to cause Sam grief, Andy gives him a hard time and demands that he open up the back of the van.
Sam tells him no but Andy opens the doors anyways. Once the doors are open, an alligator nearly attacks Andy. Sam explains to Andy that he foind the gator behind the bar and was trying to get rid of it. Believing him, Andy takes off and Sam thanks Tommy for his quick thinking about shifting into a gator.
At Merlotte’s, Sookie approaches Holly to try and find out where the witches were holding their meetings. Sookie tells Holly that she has always been interested in the Wiccan religion. Holly tells Sookie that she doesn’t know much. As Holly walks away, Sookie is able to read her thoughts and soon finds out the name of the store.
Sitting at a table nearby was Jason and Hoyt. Jason explains to Hoyt everything that had happened to him in Hot Shot. Telling him that he was repeatedly raped. Jason tells Hoyt that he believes God is punishing him for having too much sex.
Rev. Daniels and Lettie Mae arrive to get rid of any evil spirits Arlene and Terry have. Lettie Mae makes sure to inform them that she is Lettie Mae Daniels now. The two begin to sing out loud. Next came the burning of the sage. Arlene watches on in doubt.
Sookie arrives at the Moon Goddess Emporium and asks Marnie if she could do a reading. Marnie tells her no but Sookie soon charms her way into getting a yes. Asking for a personal item, Marnie sits down with Sookie and begins. Marnie tells Sookie that her Gran misses her and that she is alright. Marnie tells Sookie that she needs to watch over Jason and to guard her heart. Not to fall in love right now because it is just temporary.
After a few moments, Gran tells Sookie to listen to her. Marnie can also hear Gran talking to Sookie. Gran warns Sookie to not trust Marnie and to run away fast. Grabbing her neclace back, Sookie leaves some money and takes off.
Walking to the back of the shop, Marnie sees Kaytie waiting for her. Kaytie tells her that she is afraid but Marnie explains that she doesn’t need to be. That they were all being protected watched over. Kaytie looks at her and says “you’re not”. Soon the room is full of armed men and Marnie is arrested.
At home, Tara confides in Sookie about her girlfriend Naomi. Sookie asks her if she liked girls when the were growing up and Tara tells her no. That she loves Naomi but she might have messed it all up with the lies she told. Tara asks Sookie if she could stay the night but Sookie makes up an excuse and tries to rush her out.
Tara freaks out when she sees Eric standing in the room. Sookie tries to explain to Tara that Eric had changed. Tara on the other hand runs down a list of bad things Eric had done to her. Sookie could not get Tara to listen and Tara storms out.
Marnie finds herself locked up in a cell with n armed guard. In her cell, Marnie tries to call upon the witch she believes is there to protect her. Suddenly, her heads goes back and her eyes roll to the back of her head. She is once again transported to another time. She watches as a group of women sit in a cell and chant together.
Priests soon arrive and the witches become scared. Singling one of them out, the priests bring forward one witch. Holding her down, the priests bare their fangs and begin to drink greedily from the woman.
Bill watches Marnie from the security monitors. Using the microphone, Bill tries to ask Marnie what happened to Eric. She tells him that he had attacked her. They had all began chanting a protection spell and suddenly he left.
Bill then asks her what the spell was she put on Pam and how to reverse it. Marnie tells him she has no idea. Pam tells him that Marnie has to be lying so Bill heads to the cell to glamour Marnie. Carefully approaching her, Bill glamours her and once again asks her the questions and recieves the same answers. Pam is not too happy about this.
Jesus and Lafayette finally arrive at his grandfather’s home late that night. They see a pregnant woman hanging up the laundary. His grandfather approaches the men from behind and tells them he has been expecting them.
Answering the front door, Alcide is greeted by a rough looking man. Not knowing him, Alcide tries to make him leave but the man puts his boot in the way. He finally introduces himself as Marcus Bozeman and is the pack master of Shreveport. He tells Alcide that he is not happy that Alcide had not yet registered with the local pack. Alcide responds that he is a free person and doesn’t need to. Shutting the door, Alcide watches as Marcus leaves.
Sam and Tommy drag the bodies to the swamp and dump them in. Tommy becomes upset when he sees the bodies are floating. Sam throws in some marshmallows and Tommy sees that they attracted the gators and soon the bodies vanish.
Jason begins to have erotic dreams of Jessica because he drank her blood. At first he resisted since she was his best friends girlfriend. Telling him it’s just a dream, Jason decides it was ok then. Things get too kinky for him when Hoyt also shows up in the dream. Jason wakes up quickly.
Eric confronts Sookie about all of the evil things he had done. Sookie let’s him know that he has changed and those things don’t really matter anymore. Afraid that he will hurt her again, Eric decides to leave. Sookie runs after him and calls his name. Asking him not to leave, Eric comes back and goes directly into Sookies arms. The two begin to kiss.
Bill arranges a meeting with the sheriffs to explain to them about Eric’s disappearance and the witches involved. Not taking the threat seriously, Luis steps forward to explain to the Vampires that a witch named Antonio had used a spell and called all Vampires to come out into the sun. They did and they were all killed.
Having no patience, Pam steps in and tells them all the witch must be killed. Being so upset, she accidentally let’s it slip that the witch had put a spell on him, Bill immediately pushes her against the wall and demands to know where Eric was. Pam tells him he was at Sookie’s. Bill repeats Sookie’s name as if in disbelief.
