True Blood Episode 42 Season 4 Synopsis & Soundtrack
Passionately kissing each other, Sookie and Eric stumble through the front door. Laying on the couch, Sookie clad only in her bra and panties while Eric lays on top of her. Before they can go any farther, Bill comes barging in.
Bill and Eric soon begin to fight. Sookie tries to stop them but they won’t listen to her. She finally gets Eric to stop when she tells him Bill is his king. Immediately stopping, Eric drops before Bill and apologizes.
Sookie is not too happy when Bill arrests Eric and places him in a jail cell. Once locked up, Eric sees Pam hiding under a blanket, crying. Asking her to remove he blanket, she says no at first but finally does.
Pam tries to snap Eric out of this spell by reminding him that he is a Viking king and bows down to no one. Not wanting to hear anymore, Eric shocks Pam when he tells her that he doesn’t want to be the old Eric anymore.

Bill updates Nan on the status of the witches. He also informs her that he has arrested Eric because he can not be trusted. Bill explains to her that Eric is under the witches spell. He suggests that the only way to deal with this was for Eric to mean the true death.
Arlene groggily tells Terry not to smoke in the bedroom. Terry wakes up to see what she was talking about. He is shocked when he sees their bedroom was on fire. Waking Arlene up, Terry also gets the kids to go outside. Arlene fights him and struggles to stay and get baby Mikey. Terry tells her he will go back in until they see Mikey sitting outside already.
Sam is distraught when he sees his retirement plan go up in flames. Making sure everyone was ok, Sam was not too happy when Andy started in on him with accusations. Having had enough of Andy’s crazy behavior, Sam lays into him and tells him that he will shift into a doberman and chew his face off if he doesn’t get off his back.
Seeing Holly, Andy goes over to see if he could help her. Accepting his help, Holly asks him to put a large chair in her truck. He shocks her when he picks it up as if it was a feather. Seeing her shock, he tells her that fighting crime keeps him in shape. Taking advantage, Andy in his usual flair, asks Holly out for lunch and she accepts.
Knowing he won’t make it into Merlotte’s because of the fire, Sam calls up Tommy and asks him to open. Tommy says yes. After hanging up, Tommy looks at himself in the mirror and begins to hit himself in the head. After a few sudden movements, Tommy unknowingly shifts into Sam.
At Jesus’s grandfather’s home, Lafayette loses his appetite when he is served goat tongue for breakfast. After a few heated words with Jesus, his grandfather tells him that he must go out and find a creature to sacrifice.
Tara wakes up to someone pounding on the front door. Grabbing the hidden gun, Tara reluctantly answers the door. Opening the door, Tara is surprised to see Naomi standing there. Inviting her in, Tara sits down and comes clean with who she she really is.
Tommy still tries to adjust to shifting into Sam when he is interrupted by Sookie. Telling him it is a life or death situation, Sookie asks for the day off. Tommy tells her that her cute routine wasn’t going to work on him and fires her on the spot.
After Sookie leaves, Tommy begins to enjoy this new found power he has as Sam.
Saying hello to some cute girls, Sam stops when he sees Maxine. Walking up to her table, he asks how she is doing. Maxine tells him that he was happy he shot Tommy because he was dumb and useless.
Sookie walks into Jason’s house and calls out for him. Finally he yells out that he is fine and to go home. Not believing him, Sookie walks into his bedroom. Seeing him handcuffed to the bed, Sookie thinks it’s a sex thing. Jason sets her straight and explains that he will become a Were-panther during the full moon.
Walking in the front door, Alcide is not too happy when he sees Debbie talking to Marcus, the pack master. Alcide asks him to leave but before he does, Marcus apologizes to Alcide for his Alpha behavior earlier. At the door, Marcus asks Debbie if he will see her at the meeting that evening and she says yes.
Earnestly trying to reach the witch, Marnie cuts herself and asks for her to appear. Laying on the cell floor, Marnie once again is transported to another time and watches as the witch is violated by the Vampire Luis. First drinking her blood then raping her. Later, she is tied to a post and set on fire. As she is burning, she begins to chant a spell which makes all the Vampires come out of the slumber and into the light of day.
Waking up, Marnie stands up and sees the witch Antonio looking at her. Opening her mouth to say something, Marnie is overwhelmed and the spirit of Antonio enters her body.
Jesus and Lafayette wait in a field for the right creature to come up to them. Lafayette has a hard time accepting this until he sees Jesus capture a rattlesnake that appears.
Sookie keeps Jason company while he waits for the full moon. Going inside to retrieve a new beer, Sookie comes back out to find Jason gone. Grabbing the rifle, Sookie heads into the woods to find him.
Tommy opens up the door and sees a beautiful Luna waiting there. Before he has a chance to speak. she begins kissing him. Tommy tries to tell Luna that they should wait but she unbuttons her dress and says she is tired of waiting and wants him now.
Running through the woods frantically, Jason stops when he hears someone approaching. Yelling that he was a cop and a Were-panther, Jason is surprised when he sees it was only Jessica.
Jessica explains that since he had drank her blood that she will always feel when hew is scared and in trouble. Seeing that he was indeed scared, Jessica decides to stay with him and make sure he is ok until the full moon was over.
While looking for Jason in the woods, Sookie hears a noise and points the rifle. Debbie and Alcide appear and Sookie slowly drops the gun. Thinking that since they were Werewolves, they might know about Were-panthers, Sookie asks them what happens if you are bit. Breathinga sigh of relief when she finds out that it is hereditary and that a bite will not make you a Were-panther.
After finishing with Luna, Tommy begins to feel sick. Wanting Luna to leave, he throws her dress at her and tells her to get out. Calling him crazy, Luna rushes off. Once alone, Tommy begins to shift from Sam’s body back to his own. When it’s over, he becomes violently ill and begins to vomit.
After the full moon is almost over, Jason realizes that he would not turning into a Were-panther, he tells Jessica that it was kind of a let down. Jessica tells him that he is amazing just being himself. Starting to see feelings growing, Jason takes off before he says something he will regret.
Bill waits under the light of the full moon for his guards to bring Eric out. Kneeling before him, Bill begins to see that Eric was harmless and that he truly cared for Sookie.
At his grandfather’s house, Jesus watches as he begins the ritual. His grandfather grabs the rattlesnake from the bag and thrusts it at Jesus. The snake strikes and bites him. Lafayette screams at him but the grandfather and his woman leave the room.
Not knowing what to do as Jesus suffers from the poisonous bite, Lafayette looks around the room. His eyes soon focus on an old man. Jesus’s Tia Luca. Tia Luca suddenly enters Lafayette’s body and begins to say a spell. Soon, Jesus is cured and the spirit of Tia Luca leaves Lafayette’s body.
After finishing eating at Merlotte’s, Tara walks Naomi out to her truck. Before Naomi tries to convince Tara to leave with her, they are met by a very angry rotting Pam. Tara tells Naomi to leave and she would deal with Pam.
Watching Marnie on the monitors, Luis let’s his curiosity get the best of him. Turning off the monitor, he heads down to her cell. Walking in, he prepares to attack her but before he can, he realizes too late that it was Antonio. Saying a spell, Antonio soon has Luis kneeling before her.
Still looking for Jason, Sookie yells for him in the woods. Feeling like she is being watched, Sookie looks around and sees Eric standing there. With a surprised look, Sookie asks how he got to be there. Eric tells her that Bill let him go. Walking up to her, Eric grabs her face and begins to kiss her.
