Alexander Skarsgård Talks The East and True Blood
E! Online chatted with Brit Marling and Alexander Skarsgård about their new movie, The East. He also chatted a bit about True Blood.
Check it all out here.
Below is an excerpt:
Meanwhile, Skarsgård also gave E! News a preview of what’s in store for his bloodsucking alter ego, Eric Northman, on True Blood.
“He is doing some evil stuff this year,” the thesp revealed with a smile, adding that it’s been fun dabbling in Eric’s darker side. “You get to play around with both [good and evil sides], which is always more interesting than one extreme or the other. It’s always more fun when you have both within. It’s like a struggle.”
The East hits theaters on May 31, while True Blood’s new season debuts on HBO June 16.
Kristin Bauer van Straten Talks Pam on True Blood

ET caught up with Kristin Bauer van Straten to talk True Blood and her character Pam.
Check out what she has to say here.
Below is an excerpt:
ETonline: Looking back on season five, what were your thoughts?
Kristin Bauer van Straten: Oh man, it was such a good Pam year. I waited so long for that backstory — just to know what it was and see what it looked like and once it arrived on paper, I thought it was just so perfect. It was so fun to get in the clothes, get in the locations that looked like 1905, see Alex [Skarsgard, who plays Eric] in 1905 clothes, to see my brothel. Everything about it explained Pam to me in a new way and that was my favorite part. Why is she so unsympathetic? Because she came from a hard life when it was hard to be a woman and she did this hard profession. Why is she a vampire who is the least apologetic about being a vampire? Because she chose that life. She forced Eric to change her. I loved that writing so much.
True Blood: Beginnings – Jessica Hamby
Season 6 of True Blood is drawing nearer and nearer and I can’t wait! To get us prepared for the new season Buddy TV is recapping the journeys taken by nine main characters on the show in a series called True Blood: Beginnings.
First up was Alcide Herveaux and you can check out his story here.
Next we have Jessica Hamby.
Check out the recap here.
Below is how it all began:
Jessica first appeared midway through season 1, and she has since blossomed from an immature teenager to a sexy vamp vixen who frequently rocks naughty lingerie and goes after who and what she wants. But she wouldn’t even be if not for Bill’s actions at Fangtasia earlier in the season. He killed the vampire bartender Longshadow after he attacked Sookie because she discovered he was stealing from the bar. The punishment for staking a vampire is usually the true death, but Bill is instead sentenced to create another vampire, and Jessica 2.0 is born.
True Blood: Beginnings – Alcide
Season 6 of True Blood is drawing nearer and nearing and I can’t wait! To get us prepared for the new season Buddy TV is recapping the journeys taken by nine main characters on the show in a series called True Blood: Beginnings.
First up is Alcide Herveaux.
Check out the recap here.
Below is how it all began:
Alcide first appeared in season 3, after Bill was kidnapped by Russell Edgington and his gang of vampire blood-fueled werewolves. As Sookie continued to dig for clues in her search for then-fiance Bill, she was attacked by a werewolf in her home. Though she and Eric managed to kill the wolf (but not before Sookie read his mind of the single word “Jackson”), Eric decided she was in too much danger to be left alone. Thus, he sent another werewolf to protect her, all while she plotted a trip to Mississippi.

What has it been like to be involved in a show like “True Blood” with such a devoted fan base? What kind of adventures have you had because of it?
I get these looks, where people are like, “Did we go to high school together?” Then they have the realization that I’m Tara’s mother, and it’s like, “Oh!” It’s fun. It helps sometimes at the airport. [laughs] Getting through security; maybe I don’t get profiled as much as I used to. [Some people say], “Wow, you look so much better in real life.” But maybe I’m projecting. Maybe every once in a while, someone is smiling at me and it’s because they think I’m an attractive person, and it’s not because of Lettie Mae. Or it might be some other show that I’ve done. So I kind of project sometimes and I want to make people feel at ease. So I go, “Hi!” as they’re staring at me. “It’s okay, how are you!” And they might think, “Why are you talking to me? I don’t know you. I just think your kid is cute.” [laughs]

AX: Will we be seeing you back on TRUE BLOOD, where your character Jesus is dead but not departed?
ALEJANDRO: You know what? TRUE BLOOD, you can see Jesus at any moment, I’m sure. It’s TRUE BLOOD. Everybody comes back. Absolutely. I love being part of that show. If the timing was permitted, and they just started shooting, so it looks like there could be a window for that to happen, if they wanted, I would absolutely go back.
