Sam Merlotte – Sam Trammell
Sam Merlotte is the owner of Merlotte’s, a bar and grill where Sookie Stackhouse works as a waitress. Sam has a romantic interest in Sookie, but they continue to just remain good friends. He does have a dark secret. Sam Merlotte is a shapeshifter and is able to change forms at will. His favorite form is of a collie, but can change into almost any animal. Much like werewolves, Sam feels the affects of a full moon and the need to change.
Sam Trammell plays Sam Merlotte on True Blood. He is most widely known for his performances on stage and was nominated for a Tony Award as Best Actor for Ah, Wilderness! Sam has had many guest appearances on TV shows such as Cold Case, Dexter, Bones, and Numb3rs. A recent role in a movie was of Tim O’Brien in Aliens vs. Predator – Requiem.
