Russell Edgington – Denis O’Hare

Russell Edgington is the Vampire King of Mississippi. He is over 2,000 years old. He has been with his vampire boyfriend, Talbot, for 700 years. He marries Queen Sophie-Anne Leclerq. He becomes interested in Sookie when he learns she is part Faerie. Bill and Eric try to protect Sookie and Eric ends up Killing Talbot. Russell goes crazy and the American Vampire League consider him a threat and ask Eric to “Take care of him”. Eric and Bill bury him underneath concrete. Someone then dug him up!

Russell Edgington is played by Denis O’Hare. Denis was born in Missouri and grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. He left Detroit for Chicago to study theatre at Northwestern University in 1980. He has appeared on Broadway in shows including Sweet Charity and Assasins. He has also been on multiple TV shows including the Law and Order series and Brothers and Sisters. His film credits include Milk, Edge of Darkness, Charlie Wilson’s War and many more.
