Luna – Janina Gavankar
Luna is a shapeshifter and a school teacher. She meets Sam at a Shapeshifter support group. Her and Sam begin a romantic relationship. She has a “Past” and is trying to now live a drama-free life in Bon Temps. She ends up being a Skinwalker, which mean she can shift into any animal including a human. Her ex is, Marcus, the alpha of the local werewolf pack and they have a daughter together. Marcus kidnaps their daughter and Alcide and Sam come to the rescue killing Marcus.
Luna is played by Janina Gavankar. She was born November 29, 1983. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has appeared on TV, Theater and Film. She is probably better known for her role as Papi on the TV show The L Word.
