Daphne – Ashley Jones
Daphne is a local from just a couple towns away. She is a new waitress on the Merlotte’s staff. Even though Daphne had a rocky start as a waitress, Sam is more than happy to have her around as extra help. Being a shapeshifter also helps make her more appealing to Sam. They become romantically involved. Daphne is actually working for the evil Mary Ann though, who ends up killing her in season 2.
Ashley Jones was born in Memphis, Tennessee in September of 1976. She attended Houston’s High School for the Performing and visual Arts and graduated from Lamar high school. She is also a graduate of Pepperdine University. She is widely known for her roles on television shows such as The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
