Why Sookie and Alcide Didn’t Hook Up this Season on True Blood

A lot of people, including me, thought season 5 was the year Alcide and Sookie would finally become a couple.
Besides the one hot and awkward scene this season, I mean she did kind of vomit all over him that will always ruin the moment, they did not become a couple.

Alan Ball told TV Line why they never hooked up:

“The decision to not do it this season [came about because] every single season, it’s been all about Sookie falling in love with this person or that person,” exiting showrunner Alan Ball tells TVLine. “It seemed like she had enough on her plate this season to not just [say], ‘Okay, now Sookie’s gonna fall in love with Alcide!’”

He also goes on to say that doesn’t mean it will never happen though.
So for all you Alcide/Sookie fans out there, like me, there my still be hope!
